Pretzel distribution began 1/16.  Pre-orders have ended.

McKinley Drama Club

The Drama Committee is made up of seven working moms who just wanted to see the tradition of a school musical continue at McKinley. Six of us have zero theater experience - but we have a lot of patience, a sense of humor, determination and a love for showing kids the power of theater. Does this sound like you? Upcoming Author Visit with John Patrick Green!

McKinley is thrilled to welcome John Patrick Green, author and illustrator of the bestselling InvestiGators series! Mr. Green will be visiting McKinley on Wednesday, March 11th to speak to students in grades 2-5. In connection with his visit, the McKinley Library will be selling autographed books. Please use the attached form and submit your order with payment to the library no later than February 20th. If you have any questions, please reach out to our librarian, Ms. Strohecker, at LaurenStrohecker@abington.k12.pa.us.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run: 3rd - 5th Graders

Girls on the Run goes beyond just physical activity — we foster a positive, educational and inclusive environment where every girl feels seen, heard, and valued.

If you’re looking for a program that inspires your girl to be her best self, join our team!

Our Spring 2026 season begins 3/3/26 and meets for approximately 10 weeks, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:45PM.

Garden Updates


 HELP MAKE THE GARDEN A WINTER WONDERLAND! 

As you put away your lights, don't forget about the garden! The garden committee is accepting donations to create a winter wonderland. Any white lights, winter, snow related decor, etc. are welcome. Donations can be dropped off at the front desk. Once the winterland is complete, we'll open the garden for a few nights under the lights this winter! 


FUNDRAISING FOR NEW TABLES AND BENCHES: The current wooden tables and benches in the garden need to be replaced. We are working hard to reach our fundraising goal of $4,000, the cost to purchase 3 new 8' recycled plastic tables. VIP DANCE

Thank you to everyone who moseyed on over to our VIP Dance! 🤠 It was a rootin’-tootin’ good time, and y’all had the dance floor hotter than high noon!

Huge thanks to DJ Apex for the great tunes, Posh Parties for the epic balloon designs, and our amazing VIP Committee for their dedicated work and fantastic décor.

No horsin’ around — it was truly magical! ✨

LOST AND FOUND

Join McKinley's Virtual Lost & Found Google photo album. This album is updated weekly with pictures of every item in the Lost & Found. Comment on the photo to claim your student's item and it will be returned to them.


Please remember to label all hoodies, jackets, water bottles, and lunchboxes! Any labeled items are quickly returned to students. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the month. Thank you!
