It’s an exciting year for our 5th graders! The 5th Grade Committee is planning and fundraising for all of the special activities that come along with their final year at McKinley.

2026-2027 PTO Meeting Schedule

FIRST PTO MEETING

Join us for our first PTO meeting of the 2026–2027 school year! Come meet other McKinley families, hear what’s coming up, share ideas, and learn about ways to get involved throughout the year.

We’ll also be collecting PTO dues and will have light snacks and refreshments.

Room Parent Sign-Up

Thank you to everyone who signed up to be a Room Parent this year! Room Parent selections have been finalized, and emails were sent Wednesday evening to everyone who signed up.

We truly appreciate the amazing response and everyone’s willingness to help support our classrooms and school community!

Shoe Drive Fundraiser

👟 The McKinley Shoe Drive is Back! 👟

Clean out those closets and help us reach our goal of 2,500 pairs! We’re collecting new and gently used shoes of all sizes and styles — kids, adults, sneakers, boots, sandals, cleats, heels and more.

👟 Goal: 2,500 pairs

GARDEN UPDATES: WEEK OF 9/21/26

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the garden during the social on Friday night! It is always nice to see so many people enjoying this great space! If you have any pictures, we would love to see them. Please email photos to mckinleygarden370@gmail.com or you can text Alex at 215-834-7866.

Mum Sale orders are now closed. All payments are due Friday, Sept 25th. Please be sure to submit your cash or check (made out to McKinley PTO) in an envelope labeled "Mum Sale" in your student's folder.

Mum Pick Up date: Wednesday, Oct 7th, 3:30p-5:30p

Fall recess visit dates are being finalized and will begin in October. Sign up links will be shared soon for both recess visits and Fall clean up dates. Make sure your clearances are up to date now if you would like to volunteer for recess visits. The Abington School District volunteer clearance information and requirements can be found here: ASD Volunteer Information

Join McKinley's Virtual Lost & Found Google photo album. This album is updated weekly with pictures of every item in the Lost & Found. Comment on the photo to claim your student's item and it will be returned to them.

Please remember to label all hoodies, jackets, water bottles, and lunchboxes! Any labeled items are quickly returned to students. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the month. Thank you!

PTO Dues

If you don't have the time to volunteer please consider becoming a member through dues. Dues start at a suggested donation of $20. The funds go toward recognizing our teachers, supporting activities, and providing fun events for the whole family. Pay PTO dues.

This means that you can write off your PTO dues! Funds collected through dues and fundraising events go directly towards supporting our teachers, student events, and various school clubs. PTO Dues start at the suggested donation of $20.
