GARDEN UPDATES: WEEK OF 10/19/26

$125 Raised at Qdoba!

Thank you to all who joined us at Qdoba last week. You helped raise $125 for the garden!

FALL GARDEN CLEAN UP: NOV 8TH, 10a-1pm

As the leaves fall and the temperatures cool, we will begin to prepare the garden for winter. Please consider helping out as you are able! No gardening experience necessary, we will help guide you on what to do. Bring your kids to help or play, this is also a great service learning opportunity for those looking to fulfill service hours. You do not need to stay the entire time, this is the time frame the garden will be open and committee members working on fall prep. Please sign up here so we have an idea of how many helpers to expect!

RECESS VISITS CONTINUE! The garden is open for student visits during recess on Wednesday through November 18th. Volunteers are needed to make these visits possible! Our students truly enjoy being able to spend time in the garden and it is very special to see them experience the many different joys this space has to offer.  If you are interested in volunteering to help make these visits possible, please sign up here: Fall 2026 Recess Visits

Photos from this year's recess visits can be found here: 2026-27 Garden Visit Photos

Please note you must be an approved school district volunteer for recess visits. If you need to complete the volunteer clearance application, more information can be found here: https://www.abingtonsd.org/page/volunteers

Please contact the garden committee at mckinleygarden370@gmail.com if you have any questions.

THANK YOU for your support of the garden. It is appreciated!
