Upcoming PTO Events

We have a lot of exciting events coming up this year. Mark your calendars. We look forward to see you all!

PTO Meeting - Oct. 5th

Please join us in the McKinley Library at 7pm. ASD Human Resources will be in attendance to complete volunteer clearances. 

You can find out how to obtain your clearances Here. As a note, some of the documentation can take a few days to complete. Please get started as soon as possible.


Book Fair - Volunteer

McKinley's annual Scholastic Book Fair is quickly approaching! The book fair needs lots of help to be successful. We could use your help for set up, assisting younger grades make their wish lists, fulfilling orders, and sales. 

Search for your child's teacher in the form above and you can volunteer when you know they will be in the library.

Volunteers will need to have their volunteer badge through the district.

Book Fair - Shopping

September 18 - 22

Ways to shop:

  1. Order online for free shipping right to your home. ORDER HERE!
  2. Visit the McKinley Library from 4:00 - 5:30p on Tuesday (9/19) and Wednesday (9/20). 
  3. During the McKinley Open House on Wednesday (9/21). Note: Shopping during Open House is dependent on volunteer staffing. 
Back to School Social

Friday, September 22 from 5:30 - 7:00p

Gather at the Kindergarten playground to meet other parents while your children play. Please note that parents must attend with their children. Pizza, drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase. You can also pre-order a pizza for your crew by submitting the form HERE. 

Please bring chairs and/or blankets.

5th Grade Mum Sale

$10 for 1 Mum and $25 for 3 Mums

Support McKinley’s 5th grade with your purchase! You will receive a voucher to go pick out your mum(s) at Kremp Florist!

Calling All 5th Grade Parents!

Fifth grade parents if you are interested in helping this year with the 5th grade fundraising and activities please email us at MckinleyGrade5@gmail.com. 


Volunteer Opportunity: The committee could also use volunteers to help fun the 5th Grade concession stand during the PTO Social on Sept. 22nd. You can help by manning the concession stand or donating an item to sell.  All items should be store bought, nut free, and individually wrapped (per Abington school district guidelines). Examples are chips, cookies, candy, drinks, etc.

If you don't have the time to volunteer please consider becoming a member through dues. Dues start at a suggested donation of $20. The funds go toward recognizing our teachers, supporting activities, and providing fun events for the whole family. Pay PTO dues.

This means that you can write off your PTO dues! Funds collected through dues and fundraising events go directly towards supporting our teachers, student events, and various school clubs. PTO Dues start at the suggested donation of $20.
